I’m Rocío, a walking guide based in Benalmádena Pueblo. I’ve lived ten minutes uphill from the Colomares monument and have walked visiting friends down there more times than I can count.
Why I wrote this site
The monument is extraordinary but unexplained. It’s a story told in sixteen numbered chapters carved into stone, with no signage naming any of it. Visitors walk the whole circuit and walk back out not understanding what they just looked at. The official ticket is €3.50. The guided tour is €9 and includes entry — it’s only €5.50 more, and forty minutes later you know what the building is saying.
Nobody explains that difference. GetYourGuide’s own review summary for the guided tour says travellers want “clearer information on ticket prices and what the tour includes.” So I wrote this site to close that gap. I compare the tours, read actual traveller feedback, and tell you what each one is actually like.
What this site is
An independent guide to the Castillo de Colomares. I research the tours available, read through traveller reviews, and write honest, practical guidance on which tour suits which traveller.
